Lawyers, accountants and family offices bring us the part of a file that runs through the Netherlands. You keep the client relationship. We work behind you, under your name or ours, as you prefer.
We do not approach your client outside the agreed scope, we do not advise them on matters you have not asked us to cover, and we do not contact them without you. That is in the engagement letter, not in a conversation.
Some firms introduce us directly. Others prefer the work to reach their client under their own letterhead. Both are normal and neither changes what we do or what it costs.
Fees are agreed with you in advance, per file, against a written scope. Third-party costs such as the civil-law notary are passed through at cost and named before anything starts.
Not every international file needs us. These are the ones where a local counterpart usually saves more than it costs.
Our clients regularly need what you do in your own jurisdiction, and in most countries we have no one to send them to. If your firm covers a market where we do not, that conversation is worth having in both directions.
Enquiries from other firms are read by Alfonso Martínez Ruiz personally. Tell us the jurisdiction, the shape of the file and the deadline, and you will have a scope and a fee before you go back to your client.
